Sometimes it can be troubling to give cash to a charitable
organization. After all, you don't always know where the money goes and
sometimes it's hard to imagine that your $25 contribution is anything
more than a drop in the bucket. We are here to tell you that every
penny counts. Off the Street Club is a living, breathing organization,
growing every day along with the children who belong. Because of that,
there will always be a long list of concrete items that the club needs;
things like new musical instruments, more books, and funding for field
trips to movies and plays. We, the Junior Board, think that you will
find it much more joyful to aid us in our quest for something specific
for the club than to just fill the bank accounts. In our inaugural year
you helped us raise $19,000, with which we purchased a new 15-passenger
van for the Club. A very special thank you to John Guido, owner of
Arlington Heights Ford, who helped make it possible for us to purchase
the new 2004 E-350 van at a reduced price. In our next campaign, we
provide the club with new bicycles for the kids to enjoy during their
summer days at Camp Mathieu. INSERT BIKE COMPANY HERE. In this, our 5th
year. the Junior Board’s Capital Campaign will be collecting donations
in hopes of providing the Club with a new bus. This is the largest
purchase we have untaken but we are fully confident that with your
support and the donations of many of those in the OTSCJB family, we can
make this a reality. Check back often to see the progress we are
making.
